I am excited to be part of the faculty at West Creek Middle School, teaching Social Studies and English Language Arts. I taught Language Arts, Reading and Social Studies for 9 1/2 years in Kentucky. This is my thrteenth year at West Creek Middle School and I love being a Coyote! I am a graduate of Austin Peay State University, and I received my Masters and Rank I in School Administration, as well as my Masters in School Counseling from Murray State University. I enjoy teaching Reading and Language Arts because it encompasses reading, writing, speaking, listening and observing, which are all important skills for success in daily life. Social Studies in 7th grade covers World History, and there are many interesting things to learn this year! Please feel free to contact me at the school if you have any questions or need any information.

Welcome to a new year in 7th grade Social Studies and English Language Arts!

Even though this year may look a little different, we are excited to be able to work with our students and families back in the classroom.

Remember to check my Google Classrooms for Advisory, ELA and/or Social Studies whenever you are absent or if you need to refresh your memory on the work we are doing in class. Those class codes will be given out in class on Monday, 8/16.

This is a great way to stay on top of the content!

Students will:

  1. come to class prepared to learn with paper, pencil, charged computer, charger and earbuds.
  2. treat each other and teacher with respect.
  3. be in assigned seats, working when tardy bell rings.
  4. be familiar with and follow school expectations, including dress code and cell phone/computer usage.
  5. be responsible to make up work when class is missed.
  6. participate in class activities (individually or in group work)
