I was born in Connecticut and my family moved to Florida during my junior year of high school. While in Florida, I attended St. Petersburg Junior College and received my Associate in Arts Degree. I then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of South Florida. After serving as the math subject area leader at Davidsen Middle School in Tampa, FL I returned to USF and completed a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction (Secondary Education). I moved to Tennessee in 2016 and am enjoying four seasons again. Middle schoolers are my favorite people and I enjoy working with them everyday. I use my computer technology classroom to help students grow as people, increase their work ethic and professionalism as well as help them to become critical thinkers so that they will positively contribute to our society when they are grown. I am looking forward to a great school year!

We are all here for the same reason: TO LEARN!! Therefore, I expect everyone to come to class everyday prepared and ready to learn.

Computer Literacy SUPPLY LIST:

(Please bring these items every day to class)

  • Folder
  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Laptop computer (once they are issued by the school) (NOTE:  A padded computer sleeve/case is highly recommended)
  • Power Cord (that came with your laptop)
  • Personal Headphones/Ear Buds
  • OPTIONAL: Stylus, Coloring Supplies, External Mouse if you are more comfortable with one

How I use PowerSchool Flags:

  • "Mi" - Missing work needs to be turned in for full credit
  • "Ab" - Absent work needs to be turned in for full credit.
  • "Co" - Collected, Not for grade
  • "In" - Incomplete
  • "La" - Late work was not ready by the beginning of class on the due date. Can be turned in for up to a 70%D as full credit.
